Art Director

We are seeking an Art Director with a strong background in design and marketing, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about telling patient stories across various media, including print, digital, and live events. In this role, you will collaborate daily with a diverse creative team to develop and execute creative concepts, strategies, and experiences that bring these stories to life.
You will be involved hands-on, utilizing your design skills with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch, working on a variety of projects, from print layouts to integrated marketing campaigns. As a key creative leader, you will conceptualize and implement new and innovative ways to communicate important patient narratives across multiple platforms, including live events, video, and traditional print media.

Your role will be to ensure that the strategies and solutions we provide to our clients are deeply informed by these experiences and convey the authenticity of the patients’ stories.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Art Director must be able to perform the following essential duties and functions:
- Generate clear ideas and concepts in tandem with the copywriter
- Produce sketches, storyboards, and roughs to visualize ideas
- Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and target audience
- Cooperate with the rest of the creative team across different types of media
- Take work from concept to final execution within deadlines
- Manage and delegate responsibilities to other designers and provide directions
- Present completed ideas to clients/team members
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven working experience as an Art Director or extensive experience as a Senior Designer
- Hands on experience with logo design, typography, color, web layout design, wireframing, image selection and other parts of the creative process
- Proficient use of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch or other visual design and wire-framing tools
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Incorporate feedback and take/give direction to a team of designers
- Team player with strong communication and presentation skills
- Relevant education or time in the field as an interactive designer
