A Creative Operations Director is the strategic leader of client project creative delivery for the Snow Creative & Strategy and Insights departments. The primary job of the Operations Director is to develop process and supervise the department that manages the design and development of a variety of creative media and strategy deliverables. This role is responsible for the department’s overall performance which include the key drivers of growth and operational efficiencies across all client initiatives.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess a highly organized mindset, ability to train others, and excellent communication and organizational skills. This role involves ensuring that the team grows in their roles and ensures fidelity to key milestones and can adeptly coordinate in line with both Snow’s core values and what is in the best interest of the patients that our clients serve.  


The Ops Director defines and controls the processes and procedures that establish how the project managers build project plans, identify project milestones, manage team capacity, match talent to task, identify and communicate risk. The team reporting to the Ops Director are also responsible for ensuring thorough briefs are completed prior to project kickoffs during project Discovery, creating plans for new projects, setting meetings to ensure team alignment, preparing agendas for upcoming meetings, defining communicating and mitigating risks, providing recap notes with action items after meetings, ensuring quality, and documenting post-project learnings. It is the role of the Operations Director to ensure that these tasks are being completed by the Creative Operations team and to build out processes and procedures that optimize the environment in which the project managers preform their tasks. This work of optimization of the processes and procedures entails defining how day to day work will be managed within the project management software Hive.

The Operations Director must be able to perform the following essential duties and functions:

  • Reports to and assists the EVP, Executive Creative Director
  • Interfaces directly with clients and account teams to maintain open and frequent communication when escalated from the ops department
  • Manages the team that manages the vendor relationships, including contracting, supervision, and project instructions
  • Identifies and creates the methods to improve area operations, processes, efficiency, and service to both internal and external customers
  • Thoroughly understands the disease category for each representative brand
  • Interfaces with clients, contractors, vendors, and staff with professionalism
  • Attend lead and actively contribute to all internal staff meetings
  • Proactively identifies areas to improve upon internal operations and processes and develops appropriate improvement action plans
  • Promotes teamwork by being collaborative and supportive of fellow employee’s projects
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees to promote a harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement
  • Consistently and effectively coordinates, plans, and executes projects that support your team’s internal strategy and timelines
  • Manages and tracks individual projects and follows up to make sure they are completed
  • Maintains accurate and honest records such as contact reports, status reports, dashboards, etc.
  • Manages internal stakeholders within the shared services to further the brand strategy and meet client objectives
  • Lead, manage and grow team across creative, digital, and development projects including project workflow and resourcing
  • Implement key business processes, progressing strategic decisions, and managing change across client programs and portfolios
  • Maintain an understanding of client business and critical metrics, keep up to date with latest industry news and spotting new trends, and opportunities that can enhance Snow’s product offering
  • Proactively communicates and collaborates with cross-functional groups and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment and resource optimization and project execution
  • Develop standards of how the team executes for clients, provide coaching, performance management, and team mentorship

Computer Skills:

Candidate must have excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment to include:

  • Salesforce (preferred)

Reasoning Ability:

Candidate will have the ability to identify and define problems while applying effective problem-solving skills through collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions. Candidate will have the ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Candidate will have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Candidate will be capable of applying industry benchmarks to create standardized practices. Candidates selected for the Account position are expected to take responsibility for a number of additional tasks, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Creation of strategic and succinct PowerPoint presentations/Word documents based on ambiguous and often absent data/information
  • Articulation in verbal and written form the capabilities of the corporation and how they can support clients’ needs
  • Effective “selling” of Snow’s services to current and prospective clients


Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and three to five years of related experience and/or training preferred.
